Warmth without weight, wet or dry–a perpetual challenge for outdoor clothing. Not only does our Ultralight Jacket solve this conundrum, it makes one wonder how it was ever a challenge to start with. Windproof, warm, breathable and compressible, you’ll notice it only by the sheer versatility and comfort it delivers.

The shell, built with 1.5-oz. Cordura® ripstop nylon, weighs next to nothing and allows the jacket to be packed into its own pocket for easy stowage. For added protection from weather and wear, we added an additional reinforcing layer over the shoulders. Our Ultralights are insulated with PrimaLoft® Gold, which closely mimics the packability and softness of goose down better than any synthetic insulation available. PrimaLoft Gold’s most impressive performance attribute, however, is that it retains 98% of its insulating ability when wet.

We thought of everything when we engineered our Ultralight Jacket. To ensure a comfortable fit, elastic binding on the hem and cuffs keep the wind out, and the front coil-zipper closure is equipped with a zipper garage to prevent neck pinching. The collar is lined with soft, warm 100% cotton Moleskin, so there’s never the feeling of cold nylon against your neck. Zippered side entry pockets secure valuables and are lined with cotton Moleskin to warm your hands. The interior zippered pocket keeps your valuables secure, just in case you get upended in a snowball fight.
